Manchester expansion for flexible working provider MultiTime

Ciaran Rowsome, CEO of MultiTime

MultiTime, a supplier of flexible working, time and attendance and employee scheduling solutions, is expanding to Manchester.

The move to a city centre location follows an ‘exponential surge’ in demand for its services.

MultiTime is the UK subsidiary of Dublin-headquartered FlexTime, and currently counts HM Passport Office, The London Borough of Lewishham, University of Bermingham, Axa Insurance, Sir Robert McAlpine Limited, Denbighshire Council, as clients across the UK and in Republic Of Ireland.

Ciaran Rowsome, CEO of MultiTime, which counts 400 customers across Europe, and 200,000 users across government, universities, financial services and SMEs, said: “Expansion has been steady for MultiTime, spanning our 40-year history, but we could never have envisaged pre-Covid how rapidly we would need to grow this year, to play a role in enabling hundreds of organizations to pivot and meet increasing demands for more flexible, effective and tailored IT solutions for their businesses”

Rowsome said Manchester was chosen due to its reputation as one of the most innovative cities in the world.

He added: “This, combined with the recent call by Government for flexible working to be normalized, and heightening demand amongst UK employees for permanent flexible working arrangements is evidence of the scale of the business opportunity for MultiTime in the UK and beyond.

“Our bespoke IT solutions enable companies, large and small to deploy more flexible working hours, giving employees greater control over their role and their daily lives, thus reducing absenteeism, the need for overtime, and ultimately staff turnover.”

The expansion to Manchester has been supported by MIDAS, the inward investment promotion agency for Manchester.

Tim Newns, CEO, MIDAS,  added: “MultiTime has seen significant growth in recent years and I have no doubt that Manchester, with its innovation heritage, diverse economy and global connectivity, is the perfect place to support their next stage of success with their highly relevant offering of flexible and agile working.

“Having shared insights into Greater Manchester’s key sector strengths and assisted with recruiting expert talent,  we are delighted to welcome this award-winning business into the city region and very much look forward to supporting them as they grow their future operations here.”
