Two new routes launched by easyJet to bolster its Manchester programme

Budget airline easyJet and easyJet holidays have today (July 20) announced the launch of two new routes from Manchester Airport, with flights and holidays now available for Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands, as well as flights to the Isle of Man from November 2.

The second largest of Spain’s Canary Islands, Fuerteventura sits in the Atlantic Ocean and is a perfect escape for anyone who loves feeling the sun, the sea breeze and taking revitalising swims in calm, transparent waters.

With its austere landscapes and rolling hills, picturesque coastal villages and delicious local cuisine, visitors to Fuerteventura will find it is a beautiful place to explore this winter.

Just a short flight away, the new route to the Isle of Man will provide convenient connections for those in the North West of England whether they’re travelling to visit friends and family, for business or for leisure.

Holidaymakers can enjoy the isle’s many charming cafés and restaurants and take in the relaxing coastal atmosphere or explore the fascinating heritage sights, monuments and interactive museums that dot the countryside.

Flights to Fuerteventura will operate twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays throughout the winter. Flights to the Isle of Man will operate daily, up to seven times a week throughout the winter season.

The new flights and holidays adds even more choice to an already extensive winter 2021 and summer 2022 network of destinations across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East already on sale with easyJet and easyJet holidays.

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK country manager, said: “We are delighted to announce today that we are adding even more exciting destinations to our Manchester network.

“We know our customers can’t wait to go on a long awaited and well deserved holiday, so these new routes will prove popular for customers wishing to get away for some winter sun or explore the British Isles, and further strengthens our Manchester international network, providing customers with great value fares and ever more choice this winter.”

Karen Smart, Manchester Airport managing director, said: “We’re thrilled to see easyJet launch routes to Fuerteventura and the Isle of Man – we are sure this news will be warmly received by our passengers.

“With the Canary Islands on the amber list, double-vaccinated adults and all under-18s can visit without needing to quarantine on return, opening the doors to destinations like Fuerteventura for millions of holidaymakers in our wider catchment. The Canary Islands are among our top destinations, so we imagine this route will be incredibly popular.

“The Isle of Man will also be welcomed by passengers here on the mainland and also on the island itself.

“As well as increasing domestic connectivity, the route will also allow the Manx population additional choice when accessing our long haul network from Manchester.”
