Sport, business and politics on menu for IoD

SPORT, business and politics will be on the menu at the Instute of Directors’ North West annual conference next month.
Karren Brady the former managing director of Birmingham City FC and and Manchester United’s chief operating officer Mike Bolinbroke, will share the stage alongside Miles Templeman, head of the Institute of Directors on March 23.
Appropriately, the venue is Old Trafford football ground.
IoD regional director Darrell Matthews said he is is working on securing a “key name from the world of politics” to add to the line-up.
Karren Brady will give an insight on how to make it in the male-dominated arena of football, and also on her forthcoming debut in the next series of BBC’s The Apprentice.
Mr Bolingbroke will speak about running the commercial side of one of the world’s biggest sporting brands and Mr Templeman will give an overview on the economy from the IoD’s point of view.
