Digital identity experts create more than a 100 new roles

Data intelligence and identity validation specialist GBG has announced it will create more than 100 roles globally following record financial results.

At least 60 of those roles which span sales, legal, software and technology development, finance and marketing will be based in the UK with a further 50 plus jobs across Europe, APAC and the US.

James Miller, Chief People Officer at GBG, said: “Our team is the key to our success and we’re putting people at the centre of our growth strategy.

“We want the very best people to join GBG and will give them the tools, training and support they need to do their job – no matter where they are based.

“We understand that the pandemic has made people reflect on what they want from a job. For that reason, we offer a flexible approach where new recruits can work at home, from one of our offices, or, indeed, any remote location.

“Creating a workplace that supports them to develop, grow and feel more than just a number is my priority.”

He added: “We’re keen to hear from applicants from all walks of life. At GBG, we’re proud of our rich tapestry of experiences, thoughts and backgrounds that make us who we are.

“Our be/yourself initiative is our commitment that we will all be treated as equals, that we will all be treated with respect and that we will all have allies in the workplace to support and celebrate our differences.

The AIM-listed company, headquartered in Chester, has operations and customers in the US, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

It helps to strengthen online fraud prevention for banks, fintechs, and digital banks by using email, IP, phone and social media as alternative data for fraud detection, while meeting compliance and data privacy needs.

In June the company revealed it had achieved £34.4m pre-tax profits for the year to March 31 – up by 66.1% on the year before, while revenues grew by 9.3% to £217.7m.

Miller added: “It’s an exciting time to join GBG.

“Our solutions have been in high demand during the pandemic, but in an increasingly digital world identity verification will only become more important.

“As well as joining an ambitious, growing company, new team members could also be working with innovative technologies like AI and biometrics.”
