Online fashion retailers Boohoo has suspended sales in Russia following the country’s invasion of Ukraine.

The Manchester group joins a growing list of companies that have pulled out of Russia as sanctions take hold and the invasion of Ukraine intensifies.

In a statement this morning the owner of PrettyLittleThing and Nasty Gal said: “Boohoo is deeply concerned about the tragic developments in Ukraine.

“Immediately following the invasion, the Group suspended sales to Russia, and also closed its Russian trading websites.

“Sales made by the Group into Russia are not material, totalling less than 0.1% of Group revenues.”

Other fashion giants to do the same include Asos which said it was halting sales in Russia and could not fulfil deliveries in Ukraine due to the conflict.

US tech giants Apple and Google and sportswear brand Nike have also done the same.
