Specialty café set to open in Salford’s Chapel Street neighbourhood

A new coffee bar is set to open its doors in Salford’s new destination – Chapel Street.
Procaffeinated will be serving speciality coffee, brunch, soughdough breads, natural wine, craft beers and cocktails when it opens at its new 870 sq ft unit at Atelier.
The new scheme is the latest development delivered by the English Cities Fund’s on Chapel Street, bringing 167 one, two and three-bedroom apartments alongside 11 three-bedroom townhouses and active ground-floor commercial space.
Atelier is part of the wider £1bn 50-acre Salford Central masterplan, being delivered by ECF – a strategic joint venture between urban regenerator, Muse Developments, Legal & General and Homes England –which is transforming a key area of the city into two vibrant, commercial and residential districts.
Daniel Haralmbous, and Ilaria Criscuolo, the new owners of Procaffeinated, said: “We can’t wait to open in such an up-and-coming area and we know the Chapel street residents will love our choice of coffee, cakes and pastries as well as our daily freshly baked sourdough bread and brunch plates”
Also joining the scheme is Hive Land and Planning.
Hive is a specialist consultancy, offering clients the full range of planning and surveying expertise, with a combined 30 plus years of experience in the public and private sectors.
Mark Vaughan, director at Hive Land and Planning, said: “At Hive we have always referred to ourselves as a Salford-based business and to have found brand new premises in close proximity to Manchester city centre, with the full benefit of the regeneration ECF has brought to Chapel Street, is perfect for us.
Max Bentham, senior development surveyor at The English Cities Fund, said: “The changing landscape across Chapel Street into a vibrant destination has been a privilege to see over the past few years, and being part of that change is a proud feeling for all ECF and we’re delighted to welcome Procaffeinated to the Chapel Street community.
“What we’re seeing here is a shining example of what we can achieve when the public and private sector work together, to create an innovative and diverse development that’s not just providing a range of homes for Salford, but at its core is bringing opportunities and valuable amenities to benefit the local community.”
