Business advisory group completes regional expansion with Manchester opening

One Marsden Street

Business advisory service, Interpath Advisory, has opened its new Manchester office at One Marsden Street.

Interpath was formed last year following the sale of KPMG’s UK restructuring practice.

It has taken 3,200 sq ft on the 10th floor of the newly refurbished 12-storey building, and joins other tenants in the building including BGF, Cushman & Wakefield, ABN Amro and Calvin Capital.

Interpath was founded in May 2021 following the sale of KPMG’s UK restructuring practice to H.I.G. Capital and Interpath’s managing directors.

The firm, based in London, opened its first office in Edinburgh last September, swiftly followed by premises in Leeds, Birmingham, Glasgow, Nottingham, Reading, Bristol, Newcastle and Aberdeen. Manchester is the 11th and final UK office to be opened and fully operational by the firm.

Interpath has a team of 52 people in Manchester led by managing directors Rick Harrison, Andy Stone and Paul Birrell. The team includes specialists in restructuring, turnaround, debt advisory, forensic services, M&A, transaction services, valuations and pensions.

Rick Harrison, managing director in Interpath’s Manchester team, said: “We’re thrilled to be opening our new office right in the heart of the Manchester business community.

“Our team has a long and proud heritage of working shoulder-to-shoulder with organisations across the North West helping them to navigate periods of challenge and areas of opportunity.

“While we’re all adapting to new ways of flexible working following the pandemic, it’s great that we now have a space in Manchester that we can call our own, where we can come together as a team, and host our clients and contacts.”

Andy Stone, managing director, said: “One Marsden Street is a fantastic building and we’re proud to have opened a modern and forward thinking workspace which gives us the flexibility to grow as we broaden out our wider advisory offering into areas such as M&A and transaction services.”

Blair Nimmo, chief executive of Interpath Advisory, said: “Following the opening of the first Interpath office in Edinburgh last September and our head office in London last month, the roll-out of our UK office portfolio is now complete.

“These impressive new premises in Manchester, which will house one of our largest regional teams, reaffirms our long standing commitment to both the city region and the wider North West.”
