Signage specialists clinch £7m contract and unveil new group brand

Astra Group

Two Manchester signage specialists have clinched a £7m contract, and launched their new identity following a merger earlier this year.

In April Hyde-based digital signage ADXBA and Stretford bespoke architectural signage company Astra Signs joined forces, but continued to trade under their own names.

Now, they will operate under the Astra Group title.

Their contract win, valued at more than £7m, follows a competitive tender and involves the ongoing servicing, monitoring, management design, fabrication, and installation of digital roadside, rail, and airport advertising panels across the UK for media entertainment group, Global.

Newly-appointed Astra Group CEO, Jim Kerr, said: “This is a significant win for Astra Group, playing to our collective business strengths.

“Global is well recognised as one of the UK’s leading outdoor media companies, providing reach to over 95% of the UK population.

“We’re looking forward to working together to revolutionise the out-of-home advertising space through innovation and adding value.”

Astra Group produces innovative visual solutions for a wide variety of sectors including travel and transportation, hospitality, retail, leisure, and international events.

UK and international clients include BT, Manchester Airport Group, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Bowmer & Kirkland, NHS, Gino D’Acampo Hotels & Leisure, Manchester City FC, Samsung, Gatwick Airport, Skechers, Global, JCDecaux, easyJet, Alight Media, Arnold Clark, and Unilever.

The new group identity can be seen across the company’s five locations which includes hubs in Manchester, London, and Dublin.
