Luxury housebuilder completes £16.5m sale of 96-apartment scheme

Crossford Court

Blueoak Estates, the Chester-based developer of luxury homes, has sold all 96 apartments at Crossford Court in Sale, Manchester with a total value of £16.5m.

The scheme, which was named as a finalist in both the RICS Awards and Northing Housing Awards 2022, was designed for first time buyers and saw the transformation of a former commercial building into a luxury, high spec apartment development.

Considered one of the North West’s most up and coming spaces to live, this scheme has opened up the residential market for first time buyers in South Manchester, said Blueoak.

Iain MacLean, Blueoak managing director, said: “This scheme has attracted huge interest since launch and sell out has been rapid.

“Crossford Court highlights the need for this specific type of development, opening up the market to a younger demographic keen to get onto the property ladder, in a great location.

“This is a well designed, contemporary new build apartment scheme which offers very little resemblance to the four 1970’s office buildings it once was.”

He added: “As with all our of homes, fixtures and fittings are of a luxury standard and we have undoubtedly created a scheme that will help drive interest in sale as a destination address.”

Blueoak has begun work on the ambitious £20m redevelopment of Alexander House, converting from commercial use to residential, under similar design principles to Crossford Court.
