Student accommodation provider sets up Indian office

Student accommodation provider Vita Student has opened its first office in India as the business continues to increase its student recruitment across the country.

Alderley Edge-based Vita Group has invested in the next phase of its brand development in India, formally opening an entity and recruiting a local team.

The £400m-turnover property group is focused on growing its Vita Student and Vita Living brands.

Vita Student currently operates 23 developments in 17 cities, including Circle Square and First Street in Manchester and Crosshall Street in Liverpool.

Max Bielby, chief operating officer for Vita Group, said: “India is a growing market which places incredible value and prestige on UK higher education.

“It’s this increasing demand which continues to draw students from across Asia as British degrees continue to become one of the UK’s greatest exports.

“This growth in demand makes India an incredibly exciting market to broaden Vita Student’s brand awareness.”

118,000 Indian students were granted a visa to study in the UK this year and the new Indian office will promote Vita Student’s student accommodation.
