Logistics group relocating to Spinningfields as part of NW expansion

Four Hardman Street

A Liverpool-based logistics group is relocating its Manchester office, agreeing a 10-year lease for 3,289 sq ft of space at Four Hardman Street.

The move, from its current offices in Cardinal House, St Mary’s Parsonage, is part of its plans to expand operations across the North West.

Good Logistics, part of Denholm Group, will move its 50-strong office later this month. The company is a provider of logistics and shipping services with its roots dating back to 1833.

Colliers’ national offices team, acting jointly with Savills, let the space on the fourth floor of Four Hardman Street, on behalf of Lothbury Investment Management.

The deal follows on from the recent lettings at the building to HGF on part of the sixth floor (3,754 sq ft) and SYSTRA on the fifth floor (5,880 sq ft).

Four Hardman Street, which has recently had a state-of-the art refurbishment, is a striking 10-storey office building offering Grade A accommodation in the heart of the Spinningfields Estate, one of Europe’s most successful mixed-use real estate developments.

The area extends to approximately 4.5 million sq ft and is home to more than 170 commercial organisations including RBS, PWC and Barclays and is home to in excess of 1,000 office workers. In addition, there are around 400 residential apartments together with 50 shops, bars, and restaurants.

Dan Margolis, senior surveyor in the national offices team at Colliers, said: “Four Hardman Street offers premium office space, perfect for ambitious firms who are seeking a workspace in Spinningfields, or larger companies looking for a destination in Manchester’s premier business district.

“We are confident that the move will create an excellent new working environment for everyone at Good Logistics, offering employees more than just a 9-5 work location.

“Whether potential occupiers require a new office for an expansion, relocation or merely a fresh start, the second and part of the seventh floors are still available at Four Hardman Street in this vibrant part of Manchester city centre.”

Alan Platt, divisional managing director at Good Logistics, welcomed the move to the new offices, saying: “It is a first class space in which we have been able to create a first class environment for our colleagues to work and enjoy. The facilities in the surrounding area are superb and will enhance the working day for everyone.”

Alastair Dewar, asset manager at Lothbury Investment Management, said: “Four Hardman Street is located in the Deansgate Conservation Area and constructed to a high architectural standard.

“Lothbury has undertaken significant internal and external refurbishment of the building to create one of the most highly sought-after Grade A office assets in the region and which is continuing to attract prestigious, long term tenants.”
