Birkenhead-based BBH Legal Services is moving its head office into Hythe, Peel L&P’s highly sustainable, Grade A office building at Wirral Waters.

BBH is a subsidiary of Thompsons Solicitors, a social justice law firm, and offers a range of life planning legal services nationally and to the local community, from property and conveyancing to wills and probate, deputyship and trusts, and powers of attorney.

The business has chosen to relocate to Wirral Waters to provide a more attractive workspace for its expanding team, with Hythe enjoying views across the River Mersey, where it is better connected to Liverpool, and where it can embrace new high tech ways of working post-COVID.

All of BBH’s head office staff will be based at Hythe, with flexible and agile working remaining in place across most of its workforce. The business plans to take occupancy in early 2023.

BBH’s 4,068 sq ft new office will be located on the top floor of Hythe. Alongside its BREEAM-Excellent rating and high standards in sustainability, BBH’s new office will be fitted out with the very latest in interactive technology and a flexible layout to encourage a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Simon Wilson, BBH Legal Services managing director, said: “This is a really exciting move for the business and for our staff.

“Hythe is a very impressive building and offers us a brighter working environment right at the heart of the Wirral Waters regeneration project, along with all the benefits that that will bring for our staff. It’s also a great location with better connectivity to Liverpool and enhanced digital connectivity, too.”

Bill Devereux, asset and project manager for Peel L&P’s Wirral Waters, said: “We are really pleased to welcome the BBH team to Hythe.

“This is another example of an innovative Wirral business looking to the future and prioritising the wellbeing and the working environment that it wants to provide for its staff in order to achieve long term growth and sustainability.”

Hythe, which was developed by Peel L&P with funding from Peel L&P, the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority and the Merseyside Pension Fund, is located in the Four Bridges neighbourhood of Wirral Waters, which already includes Wirral Met College and plans for Egerton Village, a waterside retail, leisure, arts and event space that will provide local amenities and facilities for the businesses and residential communities at Wirral Waters.
