Five new lease deals take business park occupancy to 95%

Towers Business Park

A Didsbury business park owner has signed up five new tenants in deals which represent an increase in rental values of more than 30% over previous headline rents, to £29 per sq ft.

Global real estate investment company, Kennedy Wilson, secured 37,000 sq ft of leases at Towers Business Park with an average term of eight years.

The new line-up of tenants includes Essity, NCC Education, I Love Cosmetics, Sitel Group and a national housebuilder, bringing the park to 95% occupied.

The new occupiers join existing tenants including Syngenta, British Airways, Cisco, Regus, and Hitchenor Wakeford, who have also recently upsized their space commitments.

The recently signed leases follow an ongoing programme of sustainability-focused improvements across the park.

Ocean House, a 36,000 sq ft refurbished office building at the park, achieved ActiveScore Gold based on the campus’s transportation accessibility, as well as BREEAM Very Good and an EPC A rating following a transition from natural gas to a fully electric system that reduced the building’s carbon footprint and energy costs.

As employees return to the office, the park has relaunched its full program of wellbeing-focused free events that take place across its 20 acres of landscaped gardens, hosting activities including complimentary fitness classes, bee keeping and festive events.

Matthew Milroy, managing director, Kennedy Wilson Europe, said: “These recent lettings are highly encouraging and demonstrate there is still strong demand from occupiers focused on attracting their staff back to the office by providing them with a dynamic environment to gather and collaborate.

“Towers Business Park ticks all the boxes in terms of quality, sustainability, and wellness.”

The park provides a total of 289,100 sq ft of Grade A office space across 10 suburban offices.

Located just off the A34, the park is only six miles south of Manchester city centre. It is easily accessible by road with both the M60 and M56 under 1.5 miles away. East Didsbury railway station and the East Didsbury Metrolink station can be reached in less than 10 minutes on foot, where journeys to the city centre take only 10 minutes.

CBRE, Colliers, and Edwards & Co acted for Kennedy Wilson.
