Manchester-based tech company, inTEC Group, has acquired a Cambridge IT managed services provider, for an undisclosed sum

The cloud-based provider of end-to-end technology solutions is progressing its acquisition strategy with the addition of FROG IT Services, which is its 13th acquisition since 2016.

And the company says it has ambitious plans to further extend its geographical reach throughout the UK and Ireland this year.

With Microsoft Gold Partner accreditation, inTEC specialises in the design, implementation, and support of a wide range of cloud services and business applications including IT managed services, infrastructure support, hosted collaboration and communication solutions.

It says it helps organisations achieve more by delivering best guidance, best technology and best support, working with cross-sector clients, including high profile brands such as Porsche, YMCA and Age UK and many independent schools such as Eton College, Wellington, Harrow, John Lyon, Colfe’s and Cheam.

Founded in 1993, FROG IT Services is an experienced team of 10 people based in Cambridge and offers managed IT support and IT consultancy services to businesses across the UK.

Richard Fella, managing director of FROG IT Services, said: “This will allow both our customers and staff to benefit from being part of a larger organisation but whose core values remain the same as those of FROG IT.

“This will mean that additional services will be available to our customers which were not part of our internal offering previously.

“Our staff will have access to further areas of expertise and can use their own high skill levels to enhance the inTEC Group in those areas where we have great depth of knowledge.”

Simon Howitt, chairman and CEO at the inTEC Group, said: “Richard has built a great team with a very strong business.

“We are excited to begin working with them to bring added value to their client base and further enhance the inTEC portfolio through their additional industry experience. This latest acquisition extends our reach across the UK allowing us to deliver even greater value for our clients.”

This latest acquisition means inTEC now has eight office sites in Manchester, Altrincham, Newcastle, Cumbria, Guildford, Sussex, Dublin and now Cambridge.
