New home for Preston’s Fino Tapas

One of Preston’s most recognisable restaurants will find a new permanent home from this weekend.
Fino Tapas will relocate from its site at Guildhall Street to the upstairs dining room at Plau on Friargate from tomorrow (June 24). The restaurant will now be known as Fino @ Plau. The downstairs area will remain as Plau Bar.
The move has been the long-term plan for the restaurant for some time but has been expedited due to unforeseen issues with the building at Guildhall Street. Plau had recently paused serving food in its upstairs area in anticipation of the move.
The move marks an exciting chapter for both establishments, they said, as they come together to create a unique culinary experience.
All Fino staff will be moved to the new site and all bookings for this weekend will be honoured.
The ground floor and basement bar area at Plau, will remain unchanged and brunch will continue to be served in this part of the building. However, the venue will return to being a seven-days-per-week venture as a result of the change.
A spokesperson for Fino @ Plau said: “We’re very excited to get Fino into its new home, slowly bring in some new items into the menu and show people what we’re all about.
“The reality of the situation is we simply don’t need a space as big as Guildhall Street any longer. The upstairs space at Plau is wonderful and we can’t think of a better home for Fino. We’ve got a loyal set of customers and we look forward to seeing them in our new spot.”
