Fast food Popeyes brand set to open Manchester location

Up to 100 jobs will be created with the opening of the latest Popeyes restaurant, this time in Manchester’s Piccadilly Gardens.

The site, capable of seating up to 67 people for dine in, with 32 seats outside, will be the chain’s 15th opening in 2023, and its 32nd in total since coming to the UK in November 2021.

Opening later this year, the new restaurant follows the brand’s launch in Liverpool, last November, which created 100 jobs at its Lord Street location, serving 116 customers, in a 3,500 sq ft space.

Popeyes UK chief executive, said: “We are thrilled to announce that a new Popeyes restaurant will be opening in Manchester later this year.

“The city has been a key location for us since we first landed in the UK, and we’re looking forward to bringing the spirit of New Orleans to the iconic Piccadilly Gardens.

“Our most recent openings have been some of the biggest to date, not just in the UK but for Popeyes globally.”

He added: “After many requests for a Popeyes UK in Manchester, we are confident that the new restaurant will be just as popular and can’t wait to announce our opening week plans soon.”

The new restaurant will be located at One Piccadilly Gardens.
