Deeside Industrial Park units change hands in Sandyford Properties deal

Deeside Industrial Park

Three vacant units at Deeside Industrial Park have been acquired, for an undisclosed sum, by Sandyford Properties.

The multi-let industrial property company has acquired the units from DRB Group, an engineering company which went into administration earlier this year.

The properties, totalling 69,756 sq ft, are located on a four-acre site at 80-82 First Avenue. They were previously used as a single factory, constructed in the early 1980s and extended in 2005.

There is an additional 0.7 acre plot of land, which could be developed or used by an occupier as yard space.

Sandyford aims to let the properties.

It has the option to let the entire space to one company or refurbishing the space and splitting it into smaller units.

Deeside Industrial Park is located on the border of England and Wales, six miles North West of Chester. It is next to the A550, which provides dual carriageway access to junction 16 of the M56 motorway and, thereafter, connects to the M53.

Paul Brindley, Sandyford managing director, said: “This acquisition represents an excellent value-add opportunity in a strong location close to existing assets owned by us.

“Deeside Industrial Park is in an area with good supply-demand characteristics, where we are aiming to acquire more assets.”

Sandyford was advised by Hill Dickinson (legal) and Townsend and Renaudon (building surveyors). The vendor was advised by BA Commercial.
