Expert-led AI event aims to boost business productivity
Business productivity charity, Be the Business, and The Productivity Institute have partnered to deliver an interactive AI event in Manchester as part of National Productivity Week.
Beyond the Hype: Making AI Work for Business Productivity is an exclusive, free event focusing on the opportunities and implications of artificial intelligence and business productivity, a topic that has been under increasing scrutiny in recent years.
Featuring industry experts and business leaders who have successfully utilised AI within their business, the day will provide attendees with ideas, answers and next steps for deploying productivity-enhancing technologies at their own workspace.
The day will be divided into two interactive sessions. An opening panel with Q&A will focus on the current trends in AI and their business implications. The afternoon session will see attendees engage with industry experts and business leaders in a series of discussion-based breakout rooms.
Confirmed to speak on the day is: Nadia Papamichal, Professor of Information and Decision Sciences at Alliance Manchester Business School; Chander Velu, Professor of Innovation and Economics at University of Cambridge; Professor Bart Van Ark, managing director at The Productivity Institute; Anthony Impey MBE, CEO of Be the Business; and Phil Smith, former Chief Executive of Cisco UK & Ireland. The day will be moderated by Megan Carnegie, a freelance journalist whose work on emerging technologies has featured in WIRED, Courier and the BBC.
Anthony Impey, CEO of Be the Business, said: “AI has the potential to transform business productivity in the long term – so let’s talk about it. By combining expert voices from some of the UK’s top universities with the real-life stories and experiences of business leaders who have successfully integrated AI into their enterprises, we hope that this event will inspire AI innovations that will lead to big productivity gains.”
Beyond the Hype: Making AI Work for Business Productivity will take place at Manchester Art Gallery on Tuesday 28 November 2023, between 11am and 3.30pm. For the full agenda and to register for your ticket, please use the link below.
