Family firm takes ‘difficult decision’ to be acquired by 24-7 Group

Haywood & Jackson acquired by 24-7 Group

Sale-based 24-7 Group has acquired Haywood & Jackson, for an undisclosed sum.

The independent electrical, mechanical and facilities management group said this strategic acquisition aligns with its long term growth strategy in expanding its market presence, diversifying the group’s product and service offerings, and enhancing its overall value proposition to customers.

Since 1972, Northwich-based Haywood & Jackson has steadily grown into a multi-disciplinary engineering company, offering a full service package of design, fabrication and installation for bespoke components, structures and assemblies of structural steel and GRP materials.

This ‘heritage’ is something 24-7 Group highly values and will continue to nurture under its stewardship, it said.

By acquiring Haywood & Jackson, 24-7 Group is gaining access to new markets where relationships have been established over the past 50 years within the rail, utilities and construction sectors.

Angie Kenny, managing director at Haywood & Jackson, said: “Haywood & Jackson are very excited to be joining the 24-7 Group and relishing the opportunities that being part of a larger organisation brings. It was a difficult decision for Haywood & Jackson to sell, having been a family concern for over 50 years, but in the ownership of 24-7 Group, I firmly believe the heritage will be maintained whilst the company will grow stronger.”

Andy Hawes, 24-7 Group managing director, said: “I’ve known Angie and Haywood & Jackson for many years. I see the acquisition as an exciting opportunity for both parties to grow and move into markets that previously had been difficult to enter for both companies.

“Over the coming weeks and months, we will be working closely with the team at Haywood & Jackson to ensure a smooth transition and integration of process and people. We want customers to rest assured that we are committed to maintaining the high level of service and quality they have come to expect from both 24-7 Group and Haywood & Jackson.

“We are confident that this acquisition will result in numerous benefits to our customers, employees, and stakeholders, and are looking forward to sharing more information about the exciting projects and opportunities that lie ahead as a result of this acquisition.”
