Sustainable businesses invited to enter our Business of the Year Awards

Businesses are becoming much more aware of their impact on the environment.

Whether it is a product or service that supports the endeavours of others, or a strategic change or investment that has made a significant impact, this year’s North West Business of the Year Awards wants to hear from those who are taking an authentic approach to sustainability.

Take last year’s winner of the Sustainability Award which was won by Be.EV, beating off stiff competition from Crown Oil, European Metal Recycling, Faith in Nature and The Vita Group.

Be.EV was founded with sustainability at the forefront, from its entire network of EV chargers being powered by deep green energy, traceable back to its real renewable source (wind, solar and UK based sources). Drivers who used the Be.EV network in 2023 together saved 1,200 tonnes of Co2 – the equivalent of planting 6,714 trees.

It is the largest public EV charging network connecting communities across the North of England and boasting impressive reliability (99.6% operational availability across the entire network).

If sustainability is part of your DNA then we want to hear from you for the North West Business of the Year Awards.

Winners will be announced at a glamorous celebration evening which will take place at The Midland, Manchester on October 18.

This year’s awards are backed by headline sponsors PwC, Robert Walters, CMS, and RBC Brewin Dolphin.

There are 15 categories to enter, and as with previous years, the Ambassador award will be chosen by the judges.

Emma Suchland, PwC Partner and UK Head of Private Business: “This is our second year of sponsoring these fantastic awards with TheBusinessDesk.com and we’re so pleased to be able to support the recognition of some of the finest North West businesses. As a regional business, PwC is passionate about supporting and facilitating growth in the North, and these awards demonstrate the impact that business can have on a region. As UK Head of Private Business, I’m particularly interested in shining a spotlight on Family Business. Having also sponsored the Sustainability category last year, it was great to see many local businesses forging the way on green matters with innovation and passion. I’m excited to see what this year holds and showcase the North West as one of the best regions in the UK to do business.”

The deadline for entries is 15 March 2024.
