Entry deadline extended for Manchester Legal Awards
The deadline to enter the 2025 Manchester Legal Awards has been extended by a week.
Legal professionals across the region now have until next Friday, 4th April, to submit their entries.
The awards are open to individuals, teams, firms, and chambers across all sectors, the awards are free to enter, and Manchester Law Society membership is not required.
Now in its 16th year, the Manchester Legal Awards recognise and celebrate the region’s best legal talent.
The awards span a diverse range of categories, including four new additions: Corporate Culture and Wellbeing Champions of the Year, In-House Team of the Year, Unsung Hero of the Year, and Sustainability Champions of the Year, encouraging individuals, teams, firms, and chambers of all sizes to enter.
In a historic first, the 2025 awards ceremony will be held at the iconic Kimpton Clocktower Hotel in Manchester, with winners announced at a prestigious black-tie event on Thursday, 3rd July.
Fran Eccles-Bech, chief executive of the Manchester Law Society, said: “You’ve got an extra week to get your entry in – but don’t push your luck. The clock is ticking and there are no more extensions.
“Manchester is home to some of the brightest legal minds, and these awards are the perfect opportunity to shine a spotlight on your achievements. If you’ve been holding back from entering – maybe out of modesty or thinking you don’t stand a chance – this is your moment to step forward and make your mark.
“Our judging process is all about fairness and transparency, so no matter the size or reputation of your firm, you’ve got an equal shot at success. Don’t let this chance slip by – submit your entry before it’s too late and let your hard work be recognised!”
All entries will be assessed against four criteria by a panel of judges from the legal and business community, apart from the Lifetime Achievement Award, which will be in the gift of the Manchester Law Society Council.
The awards are free to enter and there are 23 categories:

Barristers’ Chambers of the Year
Small Law Firm of the Year (1-5 partners nationally)
Medium Law Firm of the Year (6-20 partners nationally)
Large Law Firm of the Year (20+ partners nationally)
Lifetime Achievement
