Glider Technology set for take-off following private equity investment

Private equity firm Cow Corner Investments has taken a majority shareholding in Clitheroe-based Prop Tech company Glider Technology, for an undisclosed sum.

The Brighton-based PE firm said it strengthens its foothold in the technology sector.

Glider Technology is revolutionising asset information management for the built environment through its innovative software solutions, streamlining infrastructure projects and driving efficiency.

Under the guidance of Glider’s management, and having been closely supported by Pierce Corporate Finance over the past 18 months, the company has demonstrated robust financial performance and vision, positioning itself for strategic investment and accelerated growth.

Last April Glider received a seven-figure loan to support its growth from NPIF-Mercia Debt Finance, managed by Mercia and part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund, and Mercia’s SME Loans Fund.

Nick Hutchinson and Steve Rukuts, directors and founders of Glider Technology, recognised the need for a strategic partnership to further their vision and foster future growth.

The acquisition by Cow Corner Investments presents exciting opportunities for the company to enhance its innovative solutions and strengthen its market position, it said.

Kevin Steven, director at Pierce Corporate Finance, said: “Cow Corner Investments is the ideal strategic partner to propel the business forward, given their clear understanding of Glider’s ambitions and innovative technology.”

Glider managing director, Nick Hutchinson, said: “The partnership with Cow Corner Investments marks an exciting new chapter for Glider Technology. We are confident that together, we will unlock new avenues for growth and continue to redefine asset management in the built environment.”

Chris Woolley, partner at Cow Corner, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Glider Technology into our portfolio of innovative technology companies. This strategic investment aligns with our vision of driving sustainable growth and creating value for all stakeholders.”

Matthew Searle, partner at Gunner Cooke, advised Cow Corner Investments on its legals.

Benjamin Dredge, managing partner, and Samantha Pickover, of CG Professional, provided legal services to the Glider Technology shareholders.

Advisory services for the transaction were provided by Pierce Corporate Finance, headed by partner Kevin Steven and manager Jimmy Moore, with tax advisory services handled by Pierce tax partner, Dominic Ball.
