International law firm, DAC Beachcroft, has relocated its Manchester office from 3 Hardman Square to the 12th floor of Landmark, the city centre office development owned by Barings Real Estate.

DAC Beachcroft has signed a 10-year lease for 13,228 sq ft of space at Landmark, Barings’ 180,000 sq ft office building on St Peter’s Square.

It is anticipated the law firm will take occupation this coming autumn once fit-out works have completed, joining existing high profile occupiers HSBC UK, JP Morgan Chase & Co, Allianz Insurance, Grant Thornton, JLL, Vanguard, Starling Bank, Santander UK, RSM, and Xero in Landmark.

Following the latest letting, only the fourth and sixth floors are available for occupation.

Key features at Landmark include contactless technologies enabling touch-free movement within the building, a dedicated cycle storage and maintenance hub, high quality showers and changing facilities, electric car charging spaces and Amazon lockers for package delivery and returns.

Ian Mayhew, Managing Director, UK Asset management at Barings, said: “The world class office experience we set out to cultivate at Landmark has truly been realised and to be adding another international occupier to the tenant roster really cements this. In order to reflect the evolving needs of occupiers in a world where sustainability, technology and experience are paramount we paid keen attention to this within its design and delivery to make Landmark stand out in these crucial aspects.”

Philip Harman, Partner and Head of DAC Beachcroft’s Manchester office, said: “As a business we are committed to flexible working and, for our 3,000 colleagues across the UK and internationally, delivering on that commitment means creating office spaces where we can meet, collaborate with each other and our clients, and do our best work.

“We are confident that Landmark will provide us with a high quality working environment, and we are also impressed with the building’s strong emphasis on sustainability and wellbeing.”

Dominic Pozzoni, Head of Manchester Office at Colliers, said: “Landmark continues to remain a highly sought after building, owing to its great location at St Peter’s Square, sustainability credentials, flexible floor plates and stunning views over the Manchester city skyline. We look forward to securing lettings on the final two floors in due course.”

Rhys Evans, Associate Director, Tenant Representation at JLL, said: “After a full search of the market and exploration of a number of different options, Landmark ticked all the boxes for DAC Beachcroft for their new office. The building is well located and provides certainty on being able to deliver a new high calibre working environment, a key component of their search criteria.”

Leasing agents for Barings on Landmark are JLL, CBRE and Colliers. DAC Beachcroft was represented by JLL.
