Planning approval granted for key Knowsley Business Park scheme

Knowsley Business Park

Liverpool-based Redsun Projects has secured planning permission for Hub50, a new 50,000 sq ft industrial building at Knowsley Business Park.

Located off South Boundary Road, the scheme marks Redsun’s second phase at its Knowsley Hub development.

Hub50 will be built on a three-acre site that was acquired from Knowsley Borough Council following the successful delivery of the first phase.

Phase one, also acquired from the council, comprises a 50,000 sq ft trade counter scheme on a three-acre site immediately next to Hub50. This phase of the development is now fully let, with tenants including Howdens Joinery and SCIS.

Reflecting on the scheme, Nick Wightman, director at Redsun, said: “With phase one of this development now fully let, the strong interest in this strategic site speaks for itself. We’re pleased to have the continued backing of the local planning authority and look forward to bringing Hub50 to life speculatively.”

Redsun will appoint a contractor imminently, with an expected start date later in the third quarter of 2024. The project team includes AEW, Link Engineering, Langton Development Services and KGA.

B8 and Cushman & Wakefield are joint letting gents for the scheme.
