PrettyLittleThing founders in new venture to launch international interior design business

Umar and Adam Kamani

The two Manchester brothers behind the PrettyLittleThing fashion retail business have launched a new interior design business.

Kamani Rossar is the creation of UK and Dubai-based Adam Kamani and Umar Kamani, and interior designer, Rob Rosser.

The new business will provide interior design services to an external base of global, luxury clients, as well as for Kamani Property Group’s portfolio of commercial, residential and industrial buildings in major cities including Manchester, London, Mumbai, Dubai and New York City.

As the company launches, Kamani Rossar has undertaken initial interior design projects including the design of a hotel lobby space, a hotel courtyard, an entertaining space in a family home, and a yacht design.

The business has studios in London and Dubai.

Adam Kamani said: “It has been a long held ambition to make bespoke, luxury interior design one of our business offerings.

“I’ve always admired Rob’s work, so I’m so pleased we are partnering with him on Kamani Rossar. It’s full steam ahead with our ambition to become renowned worldwide as the premier authority in interior, architecture and developments.”

Rob Rosser said: “I’m so thrilled to be working with Adam and Umar.

“I want Kamani Rossar to be at the forefront of providing excellence in culturally infused, luxury design, and a tailored, bespoke service for the differing tastes of our client base across the globe. I can’t wait to get started.”

PrettyLittleThing was co-founded in 2012 by Umar and Adam Kamani.

It now operates internationally, including the US, Irish, Australian, Middle East, French and Canadian markets. The company sells Womenswear, footwear, accessories and beauty products.

Celebrities such as Miley Cyrus, Michelle Keegan, Rita Ora, Jessie J and Nicki Minaj were seen wearing its products.

In January 2017 the brothers sold a majority of the business to their father, Mahmud, founder of Manchester retailer, boohoo, who acquired a 66% stake.

Boohoo acquired the remainder of PrettyLittleThing in March 2020.
