Strong interest expected as former civic centre brought to market

Bromborough Civic Centre

Wirral Council is seeking to sell a former civic centre in Bromborough.

Commercial real estate consultants, Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) is bringing the site to market on behalf of the local authority.

The one-acre site was the former Bromborough Civic Centre, which opened in 1973.

The civic centre subsequently closed in 2020 with the adjoining library following in 2022 and the site has remained vacant since.

The prominent site, located within the defined Bromborough Village District Centre, lends itself to a variety of different uses subject to planning, and is likely to appeal to a variety of developers, said LSH.

The site is not limited by any constraints, not located within a Conservation Area and contains no listed buildings.

Oliver Williams, regional land manager at LSH, said: “Demand for strategically located development sites on the Wirral Peninsula remains high and we look forward to receiving expressions of interest for a variety of local and national developers.”
