Readers’ poll: Region not on track for recovery, yet

THE country may be officially out of recession but that does not yet mean the North West is on course for a lasting recovery.

That’s the conclusion of respondents to the latest TheBusinessDesk.com readers’ poll.

The ongoing debate as to whether the economy is through the worst of the recession generated a strong response from our readers over the last two weeks.

More than 30% said it the North West was not out of the woods yet, but the majority, 57% said that it was still too soon to call.

Just 12% said they thought things were now on the right track.
