Northern Group expands portfolio with acquisition of 19 Spring Gardens

Northern Group has acquired 19 Spring Gardens, in Manchester city centre, for an undisclosed sum.
The prime office building, holding the corner of Spring Gardens and Marble Street, offers 37,000 sq ft of premium office space, including 12 basement car parking spaces.
Northern Group’s new acquisition neighbours Aviva Investor’s 11 York Street, with its impressive roster of tenants including Rolls Royce, Aon and Avis and Young, in an area enjoying a deserved resurgence as a dynamic and highly desirable part of the city centre’s core.
Paul Dobbs, Northern Group COO, said: “Spring Gardens is a significant addition to the Northern Group portfolio, aligning with our ethos to retain and operate outstanding spaces to work and live in vibrant parts of the city.
“OBI and Edwards have been appointed as the retained agents for 19 Spring Gardens and we have full faith in their positioning to ensure a seamless leasing process for interested tenants.”
He added: “As our newest acquisition shows, we are continuing to strengthen our presence in our home city with a reputable and valued commitment and vision to providing outstanding practical spaces, designed and managed to the highest standards, to meet our clients’ needs – 19 Spring Gardens will be no exception.”
The building will undergo a comprehensive refurbishment to elevate its commercial offering.
Available office spaces will range from 1,000 sq ft to entire floors of 5,200 sq ft, providing flexible options for businesses of varying sizes.
