National automotive repair group seals deal for new workshop space
National automotive repairer, FMG Repair Services – part of Zigup – has signed a contract to let 27,000 sq ft of workshop space in Oldham, in a deal brokered by commercial property consultancy, Naylors Gavin Black.
The property is one of eight new units at the Broadway industrial and warehouse development located near the M60 and M62, which has been developed by Chancerygate.
FTSE250 member, Zigup – formerly known as Redde Northgate – brought North East firm Naylors Gavin Black on board in 2023 to support the expansion of its national portfolio of 152 properties, due to rapid growth. Naylors is assisting in property acquisitions and disposals as well as providing other ad hoc property advice where necessary.
The new branch in Chadderton, is a state-of-the-art accident repair centre that has been strategically located to strengthen the company’s repair capacity in an area of high demand. There are now 65 FMG Repair Services (FMGRS) bodyshops across the UK.
This the second property Naylors has secured for the mobility solutions plc following a deal to lease a yard in Portsmouth for Northgate Vehicle Hire and there are several more live property acquisitions in England, all at varying stages.
Keith Stewart, partner at Naylors Gavin Black, said: “Zigup’s team have a very diverse property portfolio and we’re managing small, medium and large relocations and expansions.”
