North West law firm in shock at passing of young solicitor

Preston-based law firm, Harrison Drury, has issued a tribute to one of its solicitors following his tragic death last Friday, July 26.
Jake Neary, 31, joined the firm in December last year and was based in the Clitheroe office advising clients across the East Lancashire region on a wide range of commercial property matters.
The firm posted a notice on facebook today (July 30), saying: “It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Jake Neary, whose life was tragically taken on July 26.
“Jake was not just a valued member of the Harrison Drury team but also a great friend to many of us.
“We will miss Jake more than words can express.
“Jake was a talented lawyer who was highly respected and regarded, especially in Clitheroe, where our team is ready to support anyone who needs to reach out during this difficult time.”
LancsLive reported that Jake was in collision with a car in an alleyway in Rawtenstall off Paramatta Street at around 11.20pm.
Police said an Audi A5 “had been in collision with a man who was in the alleyway”.
Jake, from Helmshore, studied law at Manchester Metropolitan University.
