Motor dealership brings Hyundai brand back to Wigan in new investment

Car dealership, Chorley Group, has brought the Hyundai brand back to Wigan.
This expansion represents the second of three new Hyundai ventures planned by the group, with the third expected to launch in Ormskirk later this year.
The Hyundai dealership will be located in a recently acquired building on Miry Lane, formerly known as Bravo Auto & First Class Motors, purchased from the Inchcape group.
Hyundai Wigan boasts a five bay workshop facility and central digital admin hub. Over the coming months, Chorley Group will be working on plans to extend and enhance the site, creating more employment opportunities.
The opening follows the recent completion of a major redevelopment at Chorley Group’s Lancashire, Ormskirk centre, where Peugeot has joined Vauxhall and its Blackpool expansion which has seen Peugeot and MG back on the Fylde coast.
Chorley Group MD, Adam Turner, said: “It’s been an exciting but incredibly busy time for the group over the last couple of weeks as we’ve opened these new experiential destinations.
“Our primary focus has always been on ensuring our clients are well looked after and that we are providing exactly what they want.”
He added: “Bringing Hyundai back to Wigan is a testament to our commitment to bringing world class brands to our towns. Wigan is a town close to our hearts, with our current Nissan and Citroen business being one of the best in the UK.
“We are confident that this new site will thrive in the loyal Wigan market and will have a positive impact on our clients in the local area.”
Chorley Group operates 21 franchises and employs 400 staff.
