Indian street food brand expands retail centre’s exotic offering
A new Indian street food restaurant is set to open this autumn in the Trafford Centre retail site.
Chit ‘n’ Chaat is taking a 2,000 sq ft unit, forming part of Trafford Centre’s new look dining area in the Upper Orient.
The area, which was once referred to as Chinatown, will be a vibrant and visually impressive dining destination that will be home to some of Manchester’s most-loved and up and coming brands.
As a Manchester born and bred brand this new opening will mark the fourth restaurant in the city.
To celebrate the opening, the restaurant will have live Bollywood entertainment, with guests invited to sample a variety of dishes throughout the day.
Sagar Modha, co-founder, said: “Trafford Centre is a dream location for our brand.
“After nearly two years of planning, we are proud to achieve this milestone and look
forward to welcoming customers. Our vision has always been to bring the vibrant flavours of Indian street food to new markets, and Trafford Centre provides the ideal platform to do just that.”
He added: “We’re eager to share our culinary heritage with our customers and look forward to the exciting journey ahead.”
Kitty Vaughan, Head of UK Leisure and F&B Leasing at Pradera Lateral, said: “The opening of Chit ‘n’Chaat is a highly valuable addition to Trafford Centre, reflecting our commitment to providing an exciting and varied dining experience for our visitors.
“We look forward to welcoming Chit ‘n’Chaat and are confident that their authentic Indian street food will resonate well with our diverse customer base and become a popular dining destination for all.”
