Logistics group launches ‘fastest sea cargo route’ between UK and North America

International logistics group, cargo-partner, has introduced what it claims is the fastest sea cargo route between the UK and North America, starting from the Port of Liverpool.

A group company of Nippon Express Holdings Inc, cargo-partner is offering weekly connections to the USA and Canada with transit times as short as 11 days, including tailored transport solutions.

The service is a direct route from Liverpool, with Dublin and Belfast serving as feeder ports into Liverpool.

Containers from Dublin and Belfast are transferred to the main vessel in Liverpool, where it could also collect cargo from across the UK.

The vessel then departs Liverpool for North America, stopping at ports including New York, Baltimore, Norfolk (USA) and Halifax (Canada). The service also runs in the opposite direction from North America to UK/Ireland providing access to all the same ports.

Fergal Keenan, cargo-partner’s Managing Director Ireland & UK, said: “Our aim is to support local businesses in strengthening trade links between Ireland, the UK, and North America. By offering the fastest sea route available, we can assist customers in these markets with all their import and export needs.

“The route via one of our shipping partners has been meticulously designed to provide the most efficient transit times, ensuring that cargo reaches its destination swiftly and securely.”

He said the dual-country approach between Ireland and Liverpool enhances flexibility and provides a comprehensive logistics solution for businesses operating across both regions.

With offices in Dublin, Manchester, London, Basildon and Bradfod, cargo-partner said this ensures seamless connectivity to all major ports, reinforcing its capability to support businesses with all their transport and logistics needs.
