Cruise giant Cunard targets North West in travel agents’ blitz
Cruise operator, Cunard, is targeting the North West with its plans to reach more than 250 travel agents, across 70 stores, as part of its biggest ever nationwide sales blitz.
A seven-strong team will hit UK high streets during CLIA Cruise Week (September 16-20) to deliver in-person news.
The blitz will also include visits to three travel agent head offices – Panache in Chorley, Travel Village in Chorley and Fred Olsen Travel in Ipswich – allowing the team to speak to more agents than ever before.
Tom Mahoney, Director of UK Sales at Cunard, said: “We are as committed, as ever, to supporting our travel agent community and working together to create unforgettable experiences for our mutual customers.
“These visits are a brilliant opportunity for the Cunard team to learn more about the issues impacting our travel agent partners, whilst providing key brand insights and enhancing stakeholder relationships.”
He added: “Our dedicated sales team will be working tirelessly to showcase our extraordinary Cunard fleet and unique on board experiences.
“The future of luxury travel is incredibly bright, which is why we can’t wait to get on the road and bring our new propositions to life.”
To support agents who may not be able to get on board Cunard’s iconic fleet of Queens, the company’s Shine Rewards Club website provides information hubs dedicated to each of the ships, featuring a wealth of helpful information, from the destinations they visit to life on board and detailed deck plans.
The luxury cruise line has also launched a ‘New to Cunard’ area on Shine Rewards Club to support agents who are learning about the brand or would like a refresher.
“The content covers information on fare types and global destinations as well as example drinks menus, restaurant menus and the world-leading variety of award-winning entertainment.
