Former manufacturing site in freeport area sold in £1.4m deal
A £1.4m deal has been secured for the sale of a 108,145 sq ft former manufacturing site in Birkenhead, which sits on a four-acre plot.
Legat Owen, acting on behalf of Survitec Group, secured the sale of 1-3 Beaufort Road, Birkenhead.
Survitec is a safety and survival specialist working across the maritime, defence and government, energy, and aerospace markets.
The sale completed Survitec’s relocation to Aviator, Ellesmere Port.
The new owner is West Wallasey Fleet Hire Services, which is focused on long
term flexible van rental, operating a fleet of more than 17,000 vehicles.
With roots dating back to 1974, the company is currently celebrating 50 years in business.
Rupert Chadwick Dunbar, of Legat Owen, said: “Sites such as this one don’t come along very often, and when they do we make sure our clients get the best possible deal.
“Its prominent location within Liverpool’s freeport area and appealing future prospects made it an attractive site.”
The detached former manufacturing site comprises four units, situated in the heart of Birkenhead’s industrial area, just a short three-minute drive from the M53.
Survitec Group’s legal team was DWF and West Wallasey Fleet Hire Services was advised by Harworth & Gallagher.
