Outdoor retailer takes major store location in Altrincham’s Stamford Quarter
Mountain Warehouse, the UK outdoor retailer, is set to open a 20,710 sq ft store in Altrincham’s Stamford Quarter.
Located in a prime location in the town, the store is Mountain Warehouse’s first significant step into the Greater Manchester area with 13 jobs being created.
Due to open in autumn the new store will stock clothing, footwear, equipment and kidswear including rain jackets, walking boots and ski wear.
It joins the Stamford Quarter’s burgeoning community of independent stores and brands including Parasol, Utility, Holland Barrett, Gift & Home, Next, Boots, Flannels, Sostrene Grene and Nationwide.
James Tootle, Head of Retail and Leisure at Bruntwood, said: “The arrival of Mountain Warehouse is a great addition to the Stamford Quarter and Greater Manchester and perfectly complements the existing retailers in the area.”
Cllr Liz Patel, Executive Member for Economy and Regeneration at Trafford Council, said: “I’m thrilled Mountain Warehouse, another high profile business, has chosen Altrincham’s Stamford Quarter as their new home.
“Mountain Warehouse joins the growing roster of businesses taking up residence in the Stamford Quarter, joining names like Lane 7, Starbucks and Nell’s Pizza.
“The range of businesses in the area makes it a dynamic retail and leisure hub to be enjoyed by visitors and residents of Altrincham alike.”
