OCU Group completes third acquisition this year with addition of drilling specialist
Stockport-based energy transition and utilities infrastructure services company, OCU Group, has completed its third acquisition of the year.
It has added Northern Irish firm Peter McCormack & Sons, or McCormack Drilling, for an undisclosed sum.
McCormack Drilling has more than a five-decade history of delivering trenchless technology solutions and major Horizontal Directional Drilling projects.
OCU Group said the acquisition brings a wealth of technical expertise and operational experience.
McCormack Drilling will continue to operate under the same name and with the same staff, now supported by the strength and increased capabilities from within OCU Group.
On completion of the acquisition Michael Hughes, OCU Group CEO said: “McCormack Drilling has an impressive range of expertise and a strong and long established reputation, which will add to our client offering and capacity as we continue to enhance the sustainable solutions we offer across horizontal directional drilling and trenchless solutions.”
Martin McCormack, MD of McCormack Drilling, said, “Since the business was founded over 50 years ago it has become one of the UK & Ireland’s most highly regarded installers of trenchless technology.
“Following the acquisition, we look forward to additional opportunities to grow our services and delivery for both established and new clients as part of the OCU Group.”
Last month OCU Group acquired Purestream Industries, which followed the June acquisition of Scottish engineering business, RJ McLeod.
