Call goes out to recognise region’s Mentor of the Year contenders

There’s no substitute for experience in business, which is a skill recognised in the Mentor of the Year category in the 2025 Leadership Awards.

Mentoring offers a focused grounding for new recruits and those earmarked for future greatness.

Passing on the skills and ethics gleaned from years of experience can provide a valuable short cut to those embarking on the road to a fruitful career.

Our 2024 Mentor of the Year was Petra Albrecht, head of education development at Diversity Travel, where she forged a key role in mentoring and developing team members and part of a fast-growing new division in the business. She also mentors tourism students at Manchester Met University.

With the deadline looming for final entries this Friday, be sure to register your entry, or nomination, for our 2025 Mentor of the Year accolade.

The North West Leadership Awards 2025 is an annual celebration which will highlight the people who are role models within their organisations and raise the bar for their competitors. The winners will show the qualities of extraordinary leadership and be able to demonstrate the positive impact this has had.
