Topping out marked at 33-storey luxury residential scheme
The topping out of One Port Street – Select Property’s landmark luxury residential development in Manchester’s iconic Northern Quarter – has been celebrated.
Comprising 477 premium one-, two- and three-bedrooms apartments, One Port Street will be the first development in Select Property’s flagship residential brand, the ‘Prestige Collection’, which centres around high quality amenities and resident experience.
The ceremony also celebrated One Port Street, which began construction in early 2023, achieving £180m in sales since its launch, which is the most raised from a single development in Select Property’s 20-year history.

The 33-storey residence, backed by a £128m development finance loan from Maslow Capital, will aim to redefine city centre living providing the amenities of a luxury five-star hotel and the exclusivity of a private resident lounge when it completes in 2025.
Designed to embody Manchester’s industrial history by taking inspiration from warehouse and loft conversions, One Port Street will blend elegant style with urban renewal and embrace raw architectural elements including wood, metal, stone and fire.
It will feature a grand lobby centred around a 360° firepit with concierge service. Residents will have access to a 2,000 sq ft premium leisure suite featuring a private swimming pool, a state-of-the-art gym and separate fitness studio.
The residence will also feature Pagini’s, a seventh floor rooftop terrace and resident lounge overlooking the city, with casual space for working, relaxing and socialising.
In addition, One Port Street’s luxury amenities include a covered outdoor area named ‘The Atrium’, which has been designed as a space for residents to come together and thrive.
One Port Street has been designed as a green gateway to the city with significant planting to create more than 22,000 sq ft of public green space – helping to deliver a better connection to the Northern Quarter, Ancoats and Piccadilly. The residence will also promote greener travel with EV charging points and cycle storage.
Renaker Build is the main construction partner for One Port Street, with architectural firm, SimpsonHaugh, leading on the project’s design.
