Award winning QBS to expand in South Africa following takeover deal
QBS Technology Group has acquired Titus Corp, a South African-based enterprise software marketplace, for an undisclosed sum.
Titus specialises in enterprise software delivery via an extensive partner network throughout SADC, the southern African development community.
The acquisition strengthens Alderley Edge-based QBS with expert access to the South African enterprise software market and is the next step on its journey to become a billion dollar business.
QBS CEO, Dave Stevinson, said: “We are pleased to extend our footprint into a proven geography with our third acquisition in the META region.
“It strengthens our software delivery capabilities and enables our partners to access a rapidly growing and dynamic market.”
He added: “We were impressed with Titus Corporation’s management team, heritage, technical capability, partner enablement, and, quite frankly, their ambition.”
QBS won the International Trade prize at TheBusinessDesk.com’s Business of the Year Awards in October, and Dave Stevinson was named CEO of the Year.
Titus Corporation managing director, Raldo Loots, said: “Joining QBS, the global leader in software delivery, feels like the ideal platform to scale Titus as we seek to grow our publisher base significantly in the SADC region.
“It is exciting to work alongside Dave and his team – as together we will collaborate with our partner network to solve the most important problems that large enterprises are facing in consolidating their long tail of software publishers.”
QBS was established in 2017, and owns and operates a software delivery platform, offering more than 12,000 enterprise software publishers through a pan-EMEA network of in excess of 6,000 resellers.
It has 12 offices in EMEA, 250 staff and has annual recurring revenues of £268m.
Titus Corporation was founded in May 2000. It is a South Africa-based enterprise software marketplace representing more than 400 software brands, based in Johannesburg, South Africa, where it employs 10 staff, as well as a network of sales and pre-sales representatives across SADC. Development is handled in Durban.
Dave Stevinson chief executive of QBS Technology will be our special guest speaker at our lunch in Manchester on the 30th of January.
