Land specialist expands network with new city centre office opening

Manchester team: Richard Caten, Jon Stott, Sean McDonnell, Katy Moore, Rosie McDonagh, Lisa Shepherd, Will Guest

Ardent, a land, consent management and stakeholder engagement practice, has taken office space in Manchester as part of its ongoing growth.

The firm has expertise in the consenting and delivery of projects across the transport, renewables, utilities and regeneration sectors and has taken space at Northspring in Spring Gardens.

The company, which also has offices in Warrington, London, Leeds, Birmingham, Dublin and Glasgow, now employs close to 200 staff.

Many operate out of the Warrington office but the new location in Manchester is seen as the latest piece in the jigsaw of the company’s ambitious growth plans.

Jonathan Stott, Ardent’s group managing director, said: “We support the delivery of some of the most important developments across the UK through the expertise of our people across all of our teams.

“Whether that’s new road and rail schemes, regeneration projects or new infrastructure for utilities and renewables, it has a lasting, positive impact on both the economy and society generally.”

He added: “It has led to very strong growth over the past couple of years and we are planning to grow the team even further in the North West and across our other locations, too.

“Northspring offers us a fantastic space for the team to be able to come together in one place, to collaborate and to offer the very best service to clients. It also offers us a presence in Manchester which is vital.”

He said: “Our working environment and our working practices – such as the training and support we offer to the team – are massively important to attracting and keeping the very best people in our industry and that is something that we have achieved over recent years and is absolutely key to us continuing to grow.”
