Surge in premium and corporate sales drives record month for Travel Counsellors

Manchester-based holidays group, Travel Counsellors, has reported record-breaking sales.
January is traditionally the busiest month for the travel industry and the January ‘peaks’ season has seen soaring sales for the business, reinforcing a booming demand from customers and corporates for trips abroad.
Group sales for the month reached £138m, an 11% increase year-on-year, making it both the best January on record and the biggest sales month in the company’s history.
Of this total, £75m came from the premium leisure market, which experienced a 19% rise in sales.
Throughout the month, 15 of the company’s top 20 sales days of all time were recorded, including its highest single day of sales of £7.8m on January 31.
A significant portion of these sales came from bespoke TC packages, which accounted for more than 5,000 bookings and TC Journeys, one of the latest additions to the company’s tech platform, now features in excess of 278 curated itineraries.
The most popular leisure destinations in January included the Mediterranean, USA, Indian Ocean, Southeast Asia and the Caribbean.
On the corporate travel side, the USA, Domestic and the Middle East ranked as the top choices for business clients.
Meanwhile, corporate travel continues to see robust growth, with UK corporate sales reaching £23.3m.
Also, more than 300 Travel Counsellors celebrated their best-ever month, while 125 TCs achieved total sales of in excess of £200,000 in January.
Travel Counsellors CEO, Steve Byrne said: “As we look ahead, our focus remains on sustaining this momentum, delivering exceptional travel experiences, and helping our customers and clients create unforgettable memories throughout 2025 and beyond.”
