Fledgling law firm recruiting 10 more staff after rapidly expanding client base

A recently established Manchester law firm is recruiting 10 new positions after securing 50 clients in six months.
Blackmont Legal, founded by Zohaib Hashim, is focused on the corporate legal sector.
Its diverse client base includes start-ups, SMEs, and high-profile companies across various industries.
The firm has advised football clubs and multinational corporations including vaping company Dinner Lady.
Hashim said: “We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished in such a short time.
“Signing 50 clients in six months isn’t just a number – it reflects the trust businesses place in us to handle their most critical legal needs.
“We’re committed to being more than just a service provider; we want to be a true partner in our clients’ success. I’m also incredibly excited to grow the business in Manchester which is rich with legal talent.”
Raised in Saudi Arabia, Zohaib studied Law at the University of Manchester before gaining experience across multiple legal markets.
He said, after honing his skills in corporate and commercial law in Pakistan, he returned to the UK, where he built a reputation as a ‘fixer’ at Slater and Gordon, taking on complex cases and winning them on technicalities.
He later played a key role in turning around the corporate department at another law firm before deciding to launch his own in 2024.
He said: “Legal services are often stuck in the past, relying on outdated models.
“We’ve embraced technology at every level of our operation. From AI-assisted case management to virtual consultations, we’re making legal services more accessible, efficient, and environmentally friendly.”
Blackmont Legal focuses on companies with turnovers of up to £100m.
