Lego commits to Manchester by expanding its Arndale store

Danish toy group, Lego, is expanding its store at Manchester’s Arndale shopping centre.
It will relocate to bigger premises this summer, the group announced.
The building brick group has been resident in the Arndale for almost 15 years and said the new and improved store will offer visitors opportunities to fully immerse themselves in the world of Lego building, including:
- Lego Pick a Brick Wall – a great way for customers to select the exact elements that they require for their builds
- Hands-on Play Opportunities – including free build challenges and events each month
- Build a Minifigure Tower – visitors can mix and match from a wide selection of bottoms, tops, heads, hair pieces and accessories to customise Lego minifigures
Shweta Munshi, vice president of marketing, Lego retail at the Lego Group, said: “We are continually investing in our store portfolio and this new store will be a top retail destination for product launches and events, while acting as a hub for our Lego community and new builders alike.”
Steve Gray, head of European retail asset management at Global Mutual, joint asset managers of Manchester Arndale, said: “It is great to see the Lego Group commit its long term future to Manchester Arndale with a new larger store.
“The Lego Store is one of our most popular retailers and we expect their enhanced space will attract even more shoppers.
“The commitment of leading retailers such as the Lego Group highlights the belief international brands have in Manchester Arndale which continues to attract visitors from across the North West and beyond.”
There are currently 20 Lego Stores in the UK. Throughout 2024 the brand opened new stores in Cribbs Mall, Bristol, and across Europe.
