Footwear brand, Arne, opts for Liverpool site to open first standalone store

Online contemporary clothing and footwear brand, Arne, is to open its first standalone store, in the Liverpool One retail centre.
The Peter’s Lane site will open following two successful pop-up stores and one interactive activation at Liverpool One in the past three years.
Warrington-based Arne has now committed to opening its first permanent space at the destination. The fan-favourite brand will open this July, with the 6,750 sq ft flagship set to stock its minimalistic clothing and footwear.
In line with its previous pop-ups, the décor will echo Arne’s clean aesthetic, complete with simple steel walls, mirrors, and marble.
Landsec, the new owner of Liverpool One, says the permanent return of the popular brand showcases its dedication to nurturing up-and-coming, pioneering retail concepts, creating space for them to achieve success.
Landsec acquired a 69% stake in Liverpool One from a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) and a 23% stake from the original developer, Grosvenor, in December last year as part of a £490m deal.
Rob Deacon, asset management director at Liverpool One-Landsec, said: “As the biggest year of openings since Liverpool One first launched in 2008, 2025 has many firsts in store for us.
“Arne’s debut permanent store is certainly an exciting first, and one of several brands to put their confidence in us time-and-time again, coming as a direct response to the strength of partnership we have cultivated.”
He added: “Arne’s pop-up to permanent trajectory paints a picture of Liverpool One’s ongoing commitment to adding best-in-class brands to its line up and is an example of the demand for the best spaces in the UK’s top destinations from digital natives that are looking to expand.”
Ryan and Reece Broadhurst, co-founders of £37m-turnover Arne, said: “It’s been over a two-year process as we waited out for the perfect location and perfect store, somewhere we want the brand to be positioned for decades to come.
“The first was always Liverpool. The city closest to our home, the city that helped us grow the most, especially in those all-important early days.”
They added: “Our most successful pop-up stores were in Liverpool with by far the biggest queues, and we can’t wait to bring our mens, womens, footwear collections, and Arne Bites permanently to Peters Lane in Liverpool One.
“Thank you so much Liverpool for your support over the years – we can’t wait to see you all soon.”
The news of Arne’s signing follows the recent announcement that luxury Swiss watchmaker, Breitling, has made its city debut on Paradise Street, launching in a showcase space amongst Liverpool One’s line-up of flagship stores from leading international retailers.
Metis and CBRE acted for Liverpool One. FitzGerald Property Consultants acted for Arne.
