Richard Haworth expands with new sales department

LINEN supplier Richard Haworth has set up an outbound sales department in response to growing customer demand.

The Radcliffe company has tasked a three-strong team with handling proactive sales of Richard Haworth linens, including its Prima bed linen range and Signature Plus table linens, by managing all new customer enquiries and generating new business.

Sharon Breary – who joined Richard Haworth as PA to managing director Raj Ruia in 2004 – is heading up the department as the outbound sales manager having previously worked as part of the sales and customer service team and as business development manager.

She said: “We’re working hard to develop the business further. We’ve won some excellent new accounts and are increasing the sales of Richard Haworth’s premium products.”

Raj Ruia plans to double the outbound sales department by the end of the year.

Mr Ruia said: “We’re constantly looking to grow the business to meet our customers’ needs. The new department is a result of increasing customer demand and rising numbers of new web and telephone enquiries.”

Based at Kearsley Mill, in Radcliffe, Manchester, Richard Haworth is one of the last remaining cut and sew manufacturing operations in the UK.
