Appointments: Aaron & Partners; Drivers Jonas Deloitte; and more

CHESTER-based law firm Aaron & Partners has hired real estate specialist Emma McGlinchey as a partner in its commercial property team.

McGlinchey was previously a senior associate in the Manchester office of Gateley.

Aaron & Partners chief executive Andy Duxbury believes her arrival represents a major coup.

He said: “The fact that Emma has decided to join us strongly demonstrates our growing stature and ambition in the commercial property sector.

“She brings with her a wealth of expertise in a field that is at the core of our commercial offering to businesses across the region, and I am sure she will be an asset to the practice and our clients.

“While some sectors of the commercial property market are continuing to have a tough time, others are holding up well and Emma’s appointment will help us to secure a bigger share of the work that is out there.”

Aaron & Partners currently employs around 100 staff.

DULUX Decorator Centres has appointed David Towers as visual merchandising manager.

He will be based at the headoffice of Dulux’s Decorator Centres in Altrincham but will be responsible for creating product displays, trialling promotions and revising store layouts at the chain’s sites across the UK. David Towers of Dulux Decorator Centres

He had previously been territory store manager overseeing three sites on Merseyside and prior to that had spent 13 years with Wickes.

Michelle Hayman, group category manager at Dulux Decorator Centres, said: “David brings a wealth of experience to the team, particularly in operations, which will be of great benefit to ensure we have an integrated approach to the management of categories within store.

PROPERTY consultancy Drivers Jonas Deloitte has promoted Manchester-based surveyor Adam Robson to assistant director.

Mr Robson has spent seven years working for Drivers Jonas Deloitte in its Adam Robson of Drivers Jonas Deloittetransaction team, where he has specialised in occupier advisory roles. Clients have included Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), and Alliance Francaise de Manchester.

Simon Bedford, head of Drivers Jonas Deloitte Manchester, said: “Adam is fast establishing himself as one of the region’s leading occupier advisors. With this market set for improvement, his skills will mean that Drivers Jonas Deloitte is well placed to play a central role in transactions in the region.”

Property investment and development company, Prospect (GB), has appointed Robert Roddy as its new commercial property manager.

Mr Roddy joins Warrington-based Prospect with over 12 years’ experience in the property industry, including four as asset/acquisitions manager at Peel Holdings.  

He subsequently ran his own wholesale company.

Mr Roddy will now take responsibility for managing Prospect (GB)’s commercial property portfolio, which includes Meridian Business Village at Hunts Cross, Liverpool, office developments Kingsfield Court on Chester Business Park, Ascot House on Trident Business Park in Warrington and London House in Poynton.  It also owns the White Moss, Skelmersdale and Aber Park, Flint commercial development sites.

He said: “I look forward to combining my property industry knowledge with my experience of business ownership.”

Prospect (GB) managing director, Neil Waddington, said:  “Robert is exactly the right person to help us not only to develop business across our commercial portfolio, but also to help build the prospect brand.”

DEREK Booth has been promoted to administration and marketing manager at Archive Solutions, a records management service provider based in Middleton, north Manchester.

Mr Booth has been an employee at the firm for five years, and has worked his way up from warehouse assistant and supervisor before landing his current role.

Claire Dunn, managing director at Archive Solutions, said: “We are very pleased to have been in a position to offer Derek this role. He worked extremely hard to develop our new website, which we launched in August.

“We are extremely confident that he will continue to succeed as he develops his marketing role further.”
