Ex Pro-Liverpool chief entices new members

THE former chief executive of Professional Liverpool who set up his own business networking organisation after being made redundant last year has signed up several new members, including one of the city’s biggest law firms.
Mark Chadwick has signed up law firm DLA Piper as the newest member of LCR – a not-for-profit group set up to promote business and professional services in the Liverpool city-region. Other new members include pensions giant AVIVA, Barclays Wealth and Tower Enterprise Funding.
DLA Piper partner Mark Beardwood said: “We are pleased to be the first international law firm to sign up to LCR.
“The network focuses on building dynamic relationships driven around our region’s interest in generating business opportunities from regional, national and international markets.
“Although LCR maintains a focus on financial and professional services, it also provides a common platform for non-professionals, which is something that is of interest to us as a firm. LCR’s aim to grow the local economy and boost Liverpool’s reputation as a business hub is also very much in line with our own strategy.”
Mr Chadwick said: “DLA Piper is the largest law firm in the world and one of the leading commercial lawyers here in Liverpool. We are genuinely flattered that our strategic intent has been so well received and are delighted to welcome a truly global brand to our membership and legal representation.”
