Law firm launches HR iPhone app
LAW firm Squire Sanders Hammonds has launched an iPhone app to provide instant employment law advice to UK businesses.
The Employment Law Cloud app, free to download from the iTunes store, is the first employment law app to include push notifications to alert users when there are key developments in UK employment law.
The app also features calculators for statutory redundancy pay entitlements, key maternity leave dates and severance pay amounts, and has the ability to send calculations by email.
Detailed step-by-step checklists for disciplinary, grievance and flexible working request meetings provide users with instant access to the key legal procedural points, which the firm says will reduce the risk of delays and legal costs.
The application also allows users access to the Squire Sanders Hammonds’ own employment law updates and HR-focused workshops, as well as to an iPhone version of the firm’s “Essential HR Legal Facts” booklet.
The app was designed by Charles Frost, the firm’s Labour & Employment Partner, who said: “We have endeavoured to create an app that genuinely benefits HR professionals and are delighted with the final product, as we believe it to be the most innovative and useful UK Employment law app in the marketplace.”
