Hawkshead cheers rave review

CUMBRIA’S Hawkshead Brewery is raising a glass to a rave review in the
new edition of the Good Beer Guide.
The brewery, which was only founded in 2002, was hailed by the editor of the 2012 edition as “a spectacular success”.
Hawkshead is one of four young breweries in Britain, and the only one in the North West, picked out as prime examples of rapid growth.
It recently began exporting an organic stout to the US and has also invested £250,000 to expand its brewery and the create a Beer Hall.
The Beer Hall, specialises in ‘beer tapas’ and allows visitors to see into the brewery and watch it at work.
Hawkshead’s Alex Brodie said: “I am proud to have this recognition by the editor of the Good Beer Guide of our contribution to campaigning for real ale. Promoting our unique national drink is at the root of everything we do.”
